Apparently, recording where I bought a book/comic from and when is an unpopular feature

Likely because Amazon wants you to buy everything from them and thus this info is elsewhere.

I'm guessing the editions are being matched up to Library of Congress records but that process certainly seems like it will dam up a lot of entries.
