I think I was definitely trying to have more fun with the movie than the movie was comfortable having with itself, although I had a couple of great betas who were cheerleading enthusiastically to make me go through with finishing it. The movie could've done some reaslly interesting things, particularly with gender roles, but instead I think it took itself too seriously in ways that just... weren't all that interesting. Although I may be biased. I'm delighted you enjoyed it!
