Dragon Age: Inquisition

Sadly, it looks as if Dragon Age: Inquisition won't run on my PC, so it'll be at least a couple of years before I get to play it. Unless my PC explodes again - and I could really do without that, given all the electrical goods failures and house repairs I had to pay for this year.

I was hoping it might run, but apparently my PC has a dual core processor rather than the needed quad core, and having found people with the same spec and model as me getting mocked on the internet for being too stupid to know they didn't meet the minimum game requirements, I'm not going to chance it.

Maybe I should finish off my third ME3 playthrough and then try playing Dragon Age 2?

Or I could try and vid some more...

Awww that's a shame :( Will you be dodging spoilers lefts and right, or do you not care for that sort of thing?

I'm currently torn on whether to try DA when I get home, or the new Aliens game. I also read about this really interesting war game, This War Of Mine, that looked tempting(also soulcrushing, heh, but maybe I'll flee to vidding to get a break from it then)

I'm usually not bothered by spoilers at all (there was one for BSG that drove me insane, but... that was me) but I think I'm going to find it a little lonely, given how my Twitter feed will be full of people I know being really excited about DA:I and everything in it.

I have games I haven't played yet, thanks to birthday presents over the last couple of years and how infrequently I play games, which I could play... but I miss being part of a group at times, you know?

At least that's something, you can go a long way on other people's squee and enthusiasm. But yeah, being a part of something just as it's taking off is immensely satisfying.

I'm consoling myself with the thoughts that I'll get to hear about what's good in the game well in advance of playing it, and that there's a decent chance the user community will have worked out fixes for the bugs that inevitably stop Bioware games running straight out of the box on any PC I ever own.
